Polar Research Supplies is a scientific logistics contractor. We source, engineer, and validate the portable gear that keeps research campaigns alive at the edge of the survivable.

The human element

At −55°C, the margin between working and stranded is measured in minutes.

Steel turns brittle. Lithium sheds its charge. Bare skin freezes before a glove can be removed and replaced. Every system we configure has to be operable in heavy mitts, in a whiteout, by exhausted hands — because in the field there is no second attempt.

If it can't be serviced in a blizzard at −45°C wearing heavy mitts, we don't source it.

The cold-chamber protocol

Nothing reaches the ice unproven.

Parameter synchronization

Operating latitudes, payload mass, and temperature thresholds are translated into a material and structural spec.

Structural cryo-audit

Every build runs a 72-hour deep-freeze cycle under full operational load — composite deflection, seal integrity, charge retention.

Live Svalbard deployment

Validated gear ships to the field. Performance telemetry returns to the audit loop for the next revision.
